We take every hiding place in your home to at least 56°C, and our probes prove it got there. That is the hard part, because air heats quickly and mattresses, sofas and packed wardrobes do not. We place calibrated probes in the coldest spots and record every reading, so you can see the heat reached them.

- 01The numberResearch on bed bugs found that the temperature that kills 99% of their eggs, the hardest stage to kill, is 54.8°C. Adults die well below that. Our standard is 56°C at every probe.
- 02The problemAir heats quickly. Mattresses, sofas, packed wardrobes and gaps in the walls heat slowly. A room can feel hot while the places bed bugs hide are still too cool. That is where heat treatments fail.
- 03What we doWe find the cold spots with a thermal camera, place calibrated probes in them and work from the coldest one. Your home is done when every probe has reached 56°C. The readings are logged every 60 seconds and given to you.

How soon
We come quickly, and treat once your home is ready.
Your initial response visit can be within 24 hours of booking, or at a later time that suits you. Your heat treatment follows at least three days after it, so there is time to prepare.
If Express is free, we arrive within 24 hours of payment. Gold preparation is mandatory with Express, so we do your preparation for you. If your home is safe to treat once that is done, we can start heating on the same visit. If we do not arrive within 24 hours, we refund the Express charge.

Your preparation
Preparation is the part most people dread. Here is what it involves.
Most of it is moving things: clothes bagged, furniture pulled away from the walls, and anything heat could harm taken out. Everything is finished by 10am two days before your treatment, and you send us a short video. Only your beds wait until the morning.
If you can't face it, Gold means we do the preparation for you. You still keep pets out and look after your own valuables, documents and medication. Laundry is never included.

Is it safe?
Your home, your belongings, your family and your pets.
We take every care with your home and belongings. Most things are fine at 60°C or below, and problems tend to begin only above that. Heat can still affect some items, so we cannot promise that nothing will be damaged. If you are not sure about something, ask your case manager. If in doubt, take it out.

Kitchens, toilets and bathrooms are not heated or monitored.
Discretion
Often very little to see from outside.
Depending on your home, there may be a quiet heater unit outside your door or on the walkway for about six hours, and a technician coming and going. No vans marked with pest control. Nothing is sprayed outside your home.
The person at your door is in uniform and carries photo ID, so you always know who you are letting in.
What if they come back?
If bed bugs come back during your warranty, so do we!
Your warranty stays with the home: 60 days, or 180 with Gold, with one free reheat. If we find no evidence of bed bugs at the initial response, we don't recommend treatment, and you are refunded everything except the initial response charge.
Please do not bring second hand furniture, mattresses or upholstery into your home during your warranty. They are one of the most common ways bed bugs come back, and a reheat for bed bugs brought in that way is not covered.
